DCA families agree to abide by the policies set forth by the Board of Trustees and Administration to ensure the orderly day-to-day operations of DCA. Families acknowledge the Board of Trustees and Administration may, in their sole discretion, amend the policies regarding the day-to-day operations of DCA during the term of their enrollment.
Parent Participation Policy
Parents are expected to participate in the operation of the school by completing tasks that are directly related to the school program or the school grounds or that provide professional expertise in support of the same. We expect this commitment to equal approximately 10 hours per year. Parents may choose a variety of tasks.
There are descriptions of the parent participation tasks in the Volunteer Handbook in order for you to make an informed decision.
If you need more information about the various tasks, please talk to our Public Relations Coordinator, or the administrator.
The Public Relations Coordinator will contact parents during the year, if the parent participation tasks are not being adequately completed. Parents who fail to complete their tasks will be assessed the “in lieu” participation fee of $100/yr. The Fall Event/Spring Event is mandatory for selling tickets and participation or a $100 fee will be assessed for each event, in addition to the 10 hours of service.
