2024-2025 Enrollment

Enrollment for the 2024-2025 school year is currently open. We are so excited for our upcoming school year and to welcome students and families for another great year at DCA! Our Board and Administration have been planning for and praying about this year – and we can’t wait to see the plans and growth God has in store for each of our students and our school.

Please follow the links to enroll your student at DCA. DCA offers rolling admissions, and we will maintain an active waiting list once classes reach capacity. We are committed to small class sizes, with caps well below the federally mandated teacher-to-student ratios. Several of our classes fill up quickly, so we encourage you to apply early.

Schedule a Tour

If you have any questions about DCA or would like to schedule a 45 minute meeting to tour the school, please contact the school office at 806-244-6482. We would love to answer any questions you have, walk you through what a year at DCA looks like for your family, or help with the application process. We are happy to meet with you in the months of December and January to ensure your questions are answered before our enrollment opens for next year!

Enrollment Policies and Procedures

Non-Discriminatory Policy

Dalhart Christian Academy admits students of any race, color, national, and ethnic origin to all rights, privileges, programs, activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national, or ethnic origin in administration of its educational and admission policies, scholarship programs, athletic opportunities, or other school-administered programs.

Age Requirements

  • Pre-K 3 students must be 3 years of age on or before September 1. Students must be potty-trained by the first day of school.
  • Pre-K 4 students must be 4 years of age on or before September 1. Students must be potty-trained by the first day of school.
  • Kindergarten students must be 5 years of age on or before September 1.
  • First grade students must be 6 years of age on or before September1 of the current year or have completed Kindergarten.

Academic Testing

After an application has  been received, an admissions interview will be scheduled with the parents and the administrator. Academic ability based upon current report card progress or achievement test results will be evaluated during this interview. This will enable the parents, student, and administrator to ask questions and to discuss responsibilities.

  • Testing by our personnel will determine the student’s readiness for the appropriate grade level.
  • Entrance will be based upon the school’s ability to meet the needs of the individual student. Dalhart Christian Academy does not provide Special Education Services at this time.
  • Normally, students who are more than one year behind grade level are not accepted for admission on the basis of our inadequacy to meet that student’s needs.

Waiting Pool

If there is no room in the class you’re interested in, you may enter our waiting pool. To enter the waiting pool, you must apply for the current school year. If a spot opens, you will be contacted to schedule assessments and interviews.

Behavioral Guidelines

  • All new students are placed in an automatic nine-week probationary period.
  • Students must be up to date on immunizations and include a birth certificate, social security number, and shot record upon registration.
  • Attendance at Dalhart Christian Academy is a privilege. Students and parents forfeit this privilege if they do not conform to the standards and ideals set forth by the Administration and Board, and outlined in the current handbooks. The school may insist on the withdrawal of a student any time that the student or parent, in the opinion of the school, does not conform to the spirit of the ministry.
